Abrahel

Abrahel is a succubus described by Nicholas Rémy in his work Daemonolatreiae libri tres.

Rémy's story: According to Rémy, Abrahel appeared in 1581 in the village of Dalhem, seduced a man called Pierron and tricked him to kill his own son. After the murder, Pierron regretted what he had done and implored the Demon to give life back to his son; the succubus consented but in exchange, demanded the man worship it.

When the man's son came back from the dead, he wasn't as intelligent as before; he was also skinnier and slower. A mere year later the young died again, and a nauseating smell started to emanate from the corpse. The father buried the cadaver without hold a funeral.

From the “Dictionnaire Infernal” (edition of 1863 ) Written by Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy

Pierron lui découvrit sa passion ; la prétendue jeune fille promit d’y répondre, s’il se livrait à elle et s’il jurait de lui obéir en toutes choses. Le pâtre ne refusa rien, et son abominable amour fut accueilli. — Peu de temps après, la jeune fille, ou le démon qui se faisait appeler Abrahel par son adorateur, lui demanda, comme gage d’attachement, qu’il lui sacrifiât son fils. Le pâtre reçut une pomme qu’il devait faire manger à l’enfant ;

Translated to:

Abrahel, succubus demon, known by an adventure told by Nicolas Remy in his Demonolatry, and here it is; - In the year 1581, in the village of Dalhem, in the country of Limburg, a wicked shepherd named Pierron conceived a violent love for a young girl in his neighborhood. This bad man was married; he even had a little boy by his wife. One day when he was engaged in the criminal thought of his love, the girl he coveted appeared to him in the countryside: he was a demon in his face.

Pierron discovered his passion for him; the so-called young girl promised to answer it, if he gave herself up to her and swore to obey her in all things. The shepherd refused nothing, and his abominable love was accepted. - Shortly after, the girl, or the demon who called himself Abrahel by her worshiper, asked her, as a token of attachment, that he sacrifice her son to her. The shepherd received an apple which he was to make the child eat;

the child, having bitten into the apple, immediately fell dead. The mother's desperation had such an effect on Pierron, that he ran in search of Abrahel for comfort. The demon promised to restore life to the child, if the father wanted to ask him for this grace on his knees, by rendering him the worship service which is due only to God. The shepherd got on his knees, adora, and immediately the child opened his eyes. They rubbed it, it warmed it; he started walking again and talking. He was the same as before, but leaner, more hasty, more defeated, eyes beaten and sunken, movements heavier. After a year, the demon who animated him left him with a great noise, and the child fell backwards …

This disjointed and incomplete story ends with these words, in the narration of Nicolas Remy: “The body of the child, of an unbearable stench, was pulled with a hook from his father's house and buried in a field. - There is no longer any question of the succubus demon or the shepherd.
